What pisses me off the most while playing video games is when people refer to others as “faggots”. I don’t understand how this word can pertain to one’s ability to effectively play a game. It doesn’t relate in any sense. But then again, I am assuming that these people are trying to use this word in the context of sexuality. Either way, I find that the use of this word is not only irrelevant but it’s fuckin’ rude. Excuse my language but, I think anyone who calls others “faggots” in a video game, simply because they are not as skilled at this particular game, is an ignorant person. And if there is a certain type of people I dislike the most, its the ignorant ones. I can’t stand it when people say: “Oh, that’s gay” to describe an unfavorable situation or “You’re a fag” to someone to express dislike.
As an avid gamer, I try my best to enjoy playing my games no matter what circumstance. However, things like this ruin my experience. A community full of people like this makes me not only lose almost all faith in humanity (that was a joke), but also makes me very sad to see that these people think its okay to behave this way. If I came across someone like this in person, I can honestly say that I will purposely spill any beverage that I possess at that time, onto that person. Also, I cannot promise that I will contain my rather vulgar language.
